About

I'm a freelance network and AV technician based in the south east of England, working mostly in live events. My career spans 20 years across a wide range of technical disciplines — from running sound and lighting at live music venues to delivering large-scale LED video wall installations and working in VFX post-production.

My current focus is network installation, and I'm actively developing my network management experience with pfSense, Cisco, and Ruckus — including building UI tools for Cisco IOS and Ruckus AP firmware management. I also enjoy building LED walls, operating breakout rooms, hosting presentation servers, shooting and editing content, and more. I've worked on events across the UK and Europe — conferences, festivals, corporate events, exhibitions, sporting events, and award ceremonies.

Live events

My live events background covers network installation, LED video walls, video switching, audio operations, and content playback. I've worked as both a hands-on technician and in lead roles, and I'm comfortable across the full production chain from prep through to de-rig.

Post-production

Between 2021 and 2023 I worked at Scanline VFX as a VFX Editor and IO Coordinator, managing show data, client deliveries, media ingests, render farm jobs, and editorial for multiple film and TV productions.

Earlier career

Before moving fully into events and post, I worked as an editor, data wrangler, and IT technician at Brighton studio We Are Tilt; as a Mac Specialist and Business Team member at Apple; and as a full-time live sound engineer at The Prince Albert and Komedia Brighton.
